Great atmosphere, good soup of the day, and nice Halloween ambiance for the season.
Overview
Walking into Nonnies Pizza at 1565 75th St, Woodridge, IL 60517, United States, immediately feels like stepping into a neighborhood favorite where the aroma of freshly baked pizza fills the air. From the moment I visited, it was clear that this isnβt just any pizza joint-thereβs a sense of care in every detail, from the warm greeting at the door to the perfectly cooked slices waiting for you at the counter. Having been to dozens of local pizzerias, I can confidently say that the atmosphere at Nonnies Pizza strikes a rare balance between casual comfort and attention to quality.
One of the first things you notice about the menu is the variety. Classic options like pepperoni, margherita, and sausage pizzas sit alongside more inventive choices that rotate seasonally. During my last visit, I tried a specialty featuring roasted garlic, spinach, and a blend of mozzarella and parmesan that melted together in the most satisfying way. Each pizza is crafted with a hand-tossed crust thatβs just crispy enough on the edges while remaining soft and chewy in the center-a texture combination that food scientists often emphasize is critical for an ideal pizza-eating experience. According to research published by the Journal of Food Science, a balance between crust crispiness and internal softness significantly enhances consumer satisfaction. Nonnies Pizza nails this balance every time.
The experience goes beyond just pizza. Appetizers like garlic knots, stuffed mushrooms, and wings provide perfect starters, and the salads are surprisingly fresh with crisp greens and flavorful dressings. What sets Nonnies apart is their consistency; every visit Iβve made, whether for a quick lunch or a weekend dinner, the quality never wavers. This consistency aligns with industry best practices recommended by culinary experts, who note that maintaining a uniform taste and presentation builds long-term customer trust.
Reviews from locals consistently mention the friendly service, which adds a personal touch that makes repeat visits irresistible. I recall speaking with the manager once about how they source ingredients, and they emphasized using local suppliers whenever possible. This not only supports the community but also ensures freshness in every dish-a point echoed by The Culinary Institute of America, which highlights ingredient quality as a key factor in restaurant success.
Ordering is straightforward, whether you dine in or pick up. I often see families coming in for a casual meal, and delivery drivers know the importance of handling pizzas with care, ensuring they arrive hot and intact. For those exploring Woodridge for the first time, Nonnies Pizzaβs location is convenient and easy to reach, with ample parking nearby. Itβs the kind of spot where you can feel at ease, whether youβre grabbing a quick slice solo or enjoying a relaxed meal with friends.
Over time, Iβve noticed that the pizzeria doesnβt just rely on standard favorites-they experiment with toppings and combinations that keep the menu interesting. One memorable creation was a white pizza with caramelized onions and roasted red peppers that demonstrated both creativity and mastery of flavor pairing. Culinary studies show that introducing novel flavors while maintaining familiar elements encourages customer engagement, and Nonnies Pizza applies this principle effortlessly.
Whether youβre looking for a classic pie, inventive new flavors, or simply a place that makes you feel welcome, Nonnies Pizza at 1565 75th St, Woodridge, IL 60517, United States consistently delivers. Each visit reflects careful attention to ingredients, a genuine passion for pizza-making, and a deep understanding of what diners enjoy. From my firsthand experiences to conversations with staff and observation of their methods, itβs evident that quality and consistency drive every choice at this beloved local restaurant.

I have been to many many Italian restaurants, this place however has taken my spot of 1st place. The meatballs were so mouth watering and the sauce was definitely something homemade/grandmas recipe style. The pizza was so cheesy and crunchy yet not too crunchy or thick... Crust was to perfection. Cheese was not super greasy and fake. Very authentic. I have ordered sooo many vegetarian pizzas but this is the yummiest one Iβve eaten by far. The kind of pizza that doesnβt make you feel sick after. No complaints whatsoever. TVS all around, music, comfortable seating and really good hospitality 10/10 will be back
Love this place, looks small from the street but looks are deceiving. Such a great place, atmosphere so cute. Great service, drinks and the pizza awesome. Definitely will be back. Thanks
Use to go here as a youngster all the time. It's been over 15 years. Better than anything where I live, it's still great pizza
First timer at Nonnies. Birthday Party for my cousin. Tried numerous pizza combinations and they we're all very good! Would return if in the area again.
Iβm always excited to try new places, a coworker recommended Nonnieβs for their Pizza, but I needed up ordering the buffalo wrap. I enjoyed the wrap served with hot fries. My experience with the waiter was a bit off..almost like she was annoyed from the beginning (not by us, maybe by something that occurred prior to our arrival) we arrived shortly after opening time. I was raised with please and thank you and no matter how much I showed my gratitude for being served- it seemed the response for acknowledgement was more of a mental shoulder shrug than a simple βyouβre welcomeβ. Either way- ORDER THE PIZZA! lol I will definitely be back for pizza and drinks at the bar! You also get free warm French bread! Thatβs a first for me. Side note: I still tipped. if you plan on eating out- plan on tipping a decent amount. The economy is hard on everyone.
